Kittl: A Design Editor Built Around AI Generators
Kittl is an online design tool that mixes a full editor with a set of AI generators. You can make logos, t-shirt designs, posters, social posts and ads in one place. It is popular with print-on-demand sellers and small brands who need finished graphics, not just raw AI images.
What does Kittl do?
At its core, Kittl is a design editor on an infinite canvas. You can edit vectors, style text with instant effects and work with others on the same design in real time.
On top of that sits the AI suite. The AI Image Generator turns prompts into pictures. The AI Vector Generator makes editable vector art, which matters for logos and print. There is also an AI Video Generator, a background remover, an image upscaler and a vectorizer that turns pictures into scalable paths.
Kittl lets you pick the model behind each job. The list includes OpenAI's image models, Google's Nano Banana and Veo, Seedream, Ideogram, Recraft, Flux and Kling. Newer tools build on this. Creative Agent makes assets from a single chat. Flows run preset workflows for merch and marketing, and Brand Studio creates ads and posts from a saved brand kit.
Which features stand out?
- AI Vector Generator — editable vector art from a prompt, ready for logos and print
- Model choice — pick from OpenAI, Google, Ideogram, Recraft, Flux and other models per job
- Vectorizer and upscaler — clean up low-quality images and turn them into scalable files
- 10,000+ templates and mockups — premium starting points and product previews on paid plans
- Brand Studio — on-brand ads, posts and campaigns from your saved brand
- Real-time collaboration — editors work on the same canvas, and viewers join free
How much does Kittl cost?
The free plan lets you try most features with light usage limits, a curated set of templates and personal use only.
Paid plans are priced per editor. Kittl's own figures, billed yearly, are:
- Pro — $12 a month, with the full template library and a commercial license
- Expert — $26 a month, with 200 bonus AI tokens a day and token top-ups
- Max — $48 a month, with 600 bonus AI tokens a day
Monthly billing costs more, but Kittl's public page does not list those prices. Every paid plan includes a commercial license for up to 500,000 printed copies. A Business plan adds an enhanced license beyond that. Unused monthly tokens do not roll over.
Who is Kittl for?
Kittl suits print-on-demand sellers who need t-shirt, mug and poster designs in print-ready vector form. Small business owners can make logos, menus and social posts without hiring a designer. Marketing teams get value from Brand Studio and shared canvases when many people work on one campaign.
Where does Kittl fall short?
The pricing page hides part of the picture. Only yearly prices appear in Kittl's own copy, so the monthly cost is not on the page.
The token system adds friction. AI work runs on tokens, the monthly amounts are not listed publicly, and leftovers expire at the end of each month. Heavy AI users may find the cheaper plans run dry.
The free plan does not allow commercial use. You can learn the tool for free, but you cannot sell what you make until you pay. And because Kittl does so much, the editor takes longer to learn than a simple AI image app.
Is Kittl worth trying?
Yes, especially if you sell physical products or need logos as true vector files. The free plan is enough to learn the editor and test the generators. Move to Pro once you need the commercial license, and only go higher if you use the AI tools daily.
