Taja AI Review: One Long Video In, Weeks of Shorts and Posts Out

Taja AI turns a long-form video into a batch of content for every platform. Upload a YouTube video or a file, and it returns Shorts with captions, clips, thumbnails, and blog and social posts. Then it schedules them across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and LinkedIn. It also suggests your next video topic. Taja says 256,000 businesses use it, and it is aimed at solo founders rather than full-time creators.

What does Taja AI do?

The workflow starts with one upload. Taja accepts a YouTube link or a video file in seven common formats, including MP4, MOV and MKV. Paid plans take files up to 10 GB. It reads your channel information to learn your niche and brand voice. Several channels can sit under one account.

From that one video it builds the rest. It optimises the long-form upload itself for YouTube search. It cuts vertical Shorts under 60 seconds by default, picking moments by emotional tone, pace, punchlines and retention spikes. It adds captions and thumbnails, and writes blog, LinkedIn and Threads posts from the same material. Taja says a typical video yields 27 outputs, and 3.8 weeks of content on average.

The scheduler publishes everything from inside Taja, so there is no re-uploading to a separate tool. Captions and thumbnails stay editable before anything goes out.

The idea generator sits beside the repurposing. It matches high-volume, low-competition keywords with outlier videos in your niche to suggest the next topic.

Which features stand out?

  • One upload, many formats — Shorts, clips, thumbnails and text posts from a single long video.
  • Built-in scheduling — post to six platforms from one calendar.
  • Long-form optimisation — titles and metadata for the original YouTube upload.
  • Idea generator — keyword demand paired with outlier videos in your niche.
  • Brand templates and editor — adjust captions and layouts before publishing.

How much does Taja AI cost?

Three plans, each with a seven-day free trial. Taja also offers free credits without a card.

  • Starter: $19.99 a month, or $15.99 a month billed yearly. One user. Four long-form videos a month on monthly billing, up to 10 Shorts per video, videos up to 4 hours.
  • Professional: $49.99 a month, or $39.99 a month billed yearly. One user. Ten videos a month, up to 20 Shorts per video.
  • Teams/Agency: $99.99 a month, or $79.99 a month billed yearly. Five users, unlimited videos and Shorts, videos up to 5 hours.

Yearly plans come with an annual video allowance: 48 videos on Starter and 120 on Professional. The yearly plan cards list thumbnail generation and social sets, which the monthly cards do not mention. Check which features your billing period includes before you choose.

Who is Taja AI for?

Solo founders and small businesses who record one long video a week and need it on every platform. Think of a podcast, a webinar or a tutorial.

Podcasters and interview channels. Taja is built for talking-head content where the best moments are in the speech.

Small agencies running several client channels from one team account.

Where does Taja AI fall short?

The monthly video caps are tight. Four long videos a month on Starter is one a week, with no room for a backlog. Unlimited only arrives at $99.99.

It is a repurposing tool, not a research tool. The idea generator is a side feature. For deeper topic research use 1of10 or vidIQ.

Automatic clip picking works best on speech. Taja chooses moments by tone, pace and punchlines, so visual content with little talking gives it less to work with.

Independent reviews are hard to find. Taja has no Trustpilot profile of its own, so the testimonials on its site are most of what there is.

The pricing page is inconsistent. Thumbnail generation appears on the yearly plan cards but not the monthly ones. The homepage says thumbnails are included.

Is Taja AI worth trying?

Yes, if one long video a week is your whole content engine. The trial is enough to run two or three real uploads and judge the clips. Compare it with Opus Clip and Klap AI if you only need Shorts. Taja's edge is the text posts and the scheduler bundled in.
